Founded in 1963, the association (currently with 680 members) is committed to helping people with intellectual disabilities and their parents and relatives. It promotes the integration and normalisation principles of mentally impaired children, young people and adults. It is directly or indirectly involved in counselling, leisure and educational activities as well as the care, integration, employment and housing of people with intellectual disabilities. Offers holiday and leisure activities for people with intellectual and multiple cognitive impairments. They primarily serve as a relief programme for parents.
