The Schwyz Animal Welfare Association put its heart and soul into setting up the Burg animal shelter in 2003 and has grown steadily ever since. It is still the only cantonal facility for the care of pets. It offers dogs and cats a caring temporary home until a loving, responsible new home is found. We also help to minimise the uncontrolled reproduction of stray, ownerless cats and thus animal suffering with targeted castration campaigns.
