The Animal Rescue Service Foundation is committed to helping animals in need. Its own animal rescue service is on duty 365 days a year and around the clock throughout German-speaking Switzerland, transporting injured animals to a veterinary practice or animal hospital and abandoned or stray animals to the associated Pfötli animal shelter. Every year, around 6,000 rescue missions are carried out for animals seeking help and around 2,000 animals are taken into the animal shelter, given veterinary care and professionally cared for until they can be placed in a new home.
