Missio Switzerland is part of the universal church mission organisations, which are represented in over 120 countries. We provide information about the situation of churches in other continents and sensitise the population in Switzerland to their concerns. Our goal is the financial independence of the local churches. Our financial support therefore helps people to help themselves. We provide more than 1,100 needy dioceses with an annual basic contribution to secure their minimum economic existence and to realise their pastoral tasks. Missio Suisse is part of the Œuvres Pontificales Missionnaires which are represented in more than 120 countries. We ensure the spiritual and material exchange between the Church in Switzerland and the local Churches as needed. In the long term, we aim to ensure the financial independence of these churches on other continents. Missio guarantees an annual contribution to more than 1,100 dioceses. This enables them to ensure a basic pastoral service and to survive financially.
